$ 230 for two 4.5 lobsters... received from fedex put into oven.... first time oven cooking.....the first one was 140 degrees the shell wasn't red but thermometer 140. when the tail was twisted off, there was nothing but white mush in this lobster when the second cooked same white mush..................did i mention when received and pulled from shipping container they were limp and lifeless .i called the lobsterguy the next morning told them my issues. the girl said i would be taken care off!!!!!!!!!!! i sent them a lousy photo. I just went to our local store. I got a few 20 ounce lobster tails for 29.00. I paid over 40 bucks apiece for 10 to 12 ounces. I don’t even believe they were 10 ounces. So disappointed. Never again.

Its the same story and as i said there was a lobster tail that was illegally trapped and did not meet the guidelines of size and should have been thrown back to mature. It just demonstrates the scum that you are and I'm going to request that your ship / Ships be inspected for the legality of what your trapping.

I have been ordering lobster online for about 10 years. I used to do crab locally, but I’m in California in the state has shut down their industry. When I first ordered, I ordered massive live lobsters. I was never disappointed But after I started preparing my lobster with a sous vide, I started ordering tails Two times over the last 10 years I ordered from another vendor and I was so disappointed I highly recommend the lobsterguy.com as I have never been disappointed and the quality of the lobster is impeccable. Didn’t know to allow for crushed clams so could only use 2/3 of each pound. Clams were huge so they were tough. But they did have good flavor and were very clean.

Let's start off with I'm NJ born and steamer clams and lobster were my first solid foods according to my parents. Some of my earliest memories were eating steamed until I was falling asleep in a bowl of butter. I make frequently make "excuses" to order up some steamers and a few live Maine lobsters. I've tries various online dealers and Lobsterguy is the best out there. Im a real Ipswich clam snob, lobster guy has the best "piss" clams anywhere and at the best price. One thing that Losterguy constantly pulls off is their packaging. Last time I didn't loose one clam, I rarely loose more then 1-2 per pound. The flavor of their clams is out of this world. My neighbor told my wife that she’d never had live lobster. Typically, down south, we only get warm water lobster tails. So my wife asked me to find some live New England lobster to cook for her and our neighbor for Mother’s Day. I found the clambake dinner for 2 and thought it would be a good deal. The wives were blown away by the size of the lobster and flavor of the smorgasbord of food. The price was cheaper than going to a local high end steakhouse. Got these as a Christmas gift and had them frozen until March 15. Thawed and boiled for 10 minutes, they tasted like they were just hauled in, with lots of briny tender, goodness throughout. So am I supposed to tell my date or my buddies 'Sorry I have to cancel so I can eat my scallops'? Also, they said the Swordfish steaks were sold by weight. One was great, over an inch thick. The other was about a quarter of an inch think and the same size around, so that is definitely not true. So bad that if I was having company, I would be embarrassed to serve it. Was able to eat the swordfish and the bay scallops but had to toss the sea scallops. We have ordered live lobsters from The Lobster Guy for several years and have been extremely satisfied. I decided to try your crab cakes and they arrived today. We had 4 of them for lunch and although they were tasty, we were disappointed in the number of "shell" pieces in each crab cake. We'll be trying the Lobster Mac n Cheese with our lobsters for dinner and I'll post a review of that afterwards.

Ok, I bought lobster tails back in Dec. for a Christmas gift. Somehow I wasn't able to give them to my friend, so I decided to cook tehm today and OMG!! The best thing I have eaten in months!! I am an ex-Mainer, so I know my lobster, and I must say, these were spectacular. I got the 8 to 10 oz, boiled in salted, garlicky water for 7 minutes and they were perfect. Tender, and fresh. Placing another order as we speak!!!

I am from New England but live in North Carolina and have been going crazy down south due to being raise up north by the ocean, I was spoiled with the luxury of fresh seafood. My God when I took a bite of the thinly slice snail salad I almost cried. I am a Rhode Island Native/Narragansett Indian Tribe and when I saw the lobsterguy was disrupted out of Narragansett, Rhode Island(I remember seeing the Lobster Guy Truck passing through RI, LOL) I was very impressed. I order the snail salad and seafood di mari, each bite was so fresh and clean. Each bite reminded me of going to Gardners Seafood Market, in Wickford, RI. We received a large amount of lobsters and oysters. On Friday for a Saturday party. We followed instructions and everything survived until Saturday. This was some of the best tasting tender lobster I have ever had. I had never cooked it before. we boiled them in a turkey fryer because of its size. They we perfect. This is the second time I ordered lobster tails and I found the first were fresh frozen however, the second batch were freezer burnt. When they were thawed out the tails was mushy.

A couple of times each year, we treat ourselves by getting a pound of fresh lobster shipped from New England to Texas. This is the first time I have purchased frozen lobster meat. Based on the information provided, I expected FRESHLY picked lobster meat. They boast that it is cooked and picked daily, then frozen. What I received on 06/08/22 was meat that had been packed/frozen AUG 2021. Being nearly a year old is not my idea of FRESH- I could have purchased fresher lobster locally. After thawing and warming gently in clarified butter, this meat was tough, chewy, and very salty. I recommend spending a bit more at one of the other online lobster store and getting FRESH, never frozen lobster meat. The only reason I tried out The Lobster Guy is because I wanted to try the stuffed shrimp (I haven't yet cooked that) in the hope that it would be similar to the Baked Stuffed Shrimp served at restaurants when the US Navy stationed us in New England.

Ordered 4 live lobsters to be delivered to our friend house in San Diego as a nice surprise dinner when we got there. They are still sitting in shipping with no updates. Our friends will probably get 4 dead decomposing lobsters on there porch at some point!!

Ordered 4 live lobsters (1.5 pounds each) for our Thanksgiving dinner this year. We were very disappointed- the taste was absolutely subpar. We called to inform the company, left a message but never heard back from them. Suggest using a different vendor (there are lots of them).

I generally do not write reviews in fact this is my first I have ever wrote. I have purchased lobster locally and by time I get home there are barely alive, I was not really sure that online lobster would arrive alive. I order them a day before I was planning to cook them just to make sure they would arrive on time for party I was having. My guest were totally amazed that I had them overnight and fresh and lively they were the next day. I just steamed them in plain simple water no other flavoring added, They tasted like I had load them with sugar. They tasted so fresh and sweet had to imagine. Will order from them again. As far as pricing there were cheaper then my local market. Cheaper and better can not go wrong

I've ordered from The Lobster Guy multiple times over the past 5+ years and have never been disappointed. I have them shipped to my Dad in Georgia and my brother in Hawaii and get rave reviews from them every time. They arrive fresh and ready to be devoured. I'll order the clambakes usually but some times I'll mix it up and ship some variety of items like steamers, stuffed quahogs, lobster bisque and/or chowder with the order to enhance the memory. They miss great seafood so these are a real treat to them for Christmas each year. One year, about 3 or 4 years ago, I used a different lobster company that I saw on Shark Tank and what a disaster that was! They sent the order to the wrong address and wouldn't make good on their mistake after multiple emails and phone calls which NEVER were returned. Never was able to get a refund even from my credit card company! So instead, to keep my Dad happy, I contacted the Lobster Guy to instead get a new order sent to my Dad, now a couple weeks after Christmas, and was taken care of the right way. The Lobster Guy is #1 in my book. To make sure you were happy with your purchase a few days after it was delivered they will call also. Who does that anymore? Great follow-up!

I purchase the twin lobster for Father's Day. Looking for a really special treat. The lobster was very good but not out of this world good. However I was very disappointed on the size I received. I ordered the 2lb to 2 1/2lb twin lobsters. I do realized that sizes vary but when we weighed them both they were both under 2 lbs. I sent an email with my concerns and the answer I got was the card that went with the lobster stated 2lb to 2 1/2 lb. Which was true my card did state that but, that was not what I received. I might as well have ordered the 1 1/4 lb to 2 lb paid a lot less because that was the size range I received. So bottom line if you have any problems don't expect them to make good on it.

My parents love this meal! I've ordered it three times for their anniversary and I surprise them each time! My dad says it's better than any meal you'll get at an expensive restaurant. My mom says they cook the lobster the way it's suggested and it's always so sweet and delicious! She says "the clam chowder is the best!" and they love the crab cakes too! They love how nicely packed the box is and I include desserts each time which they Loved! They've had the cheesecakes, and this year I chose chocolate cake and salted caramel vanilla cake, they loved it!! My mom told me "please give a review, they are always so good and we have the information and will order for ourselves another time!" BTW, they can never eat all the food in one sitting. Ordered 2 10-12 oz. tails and they arrived professionally packaged and on time. We let them thaw overnight in the fridge. The next day we put them in the pressure cooker along with a cup of water, 1/2 cup white wine, and old bay seasoning. Cooked them for 5 minutes in the pressure cooker and voila! I ordered a half gallon of bisque for a birthday party for my husband and a good friend. The bisque did arrive on time and was well packaged. Unfortunately the bisque itself was bland with no bits of lobster at all. I had previously purchased lobster bisque from a different company that was rich, flavorful, and full of lobster meat. I will return to that company for any future orders. For the price this bisque was no where near worth it. A disappointment for the party as the bisque was purchased as a special favorite of one of the birthday boys.

Purchasing frozen lobster from the nearest grocer bears little or no resemblance to the lobster we received right on Christmas Eve from The Lobster Guy. It was carefully packed, super fresh, and had the most luscious lobster meat I've eaten since I visited Maine too long ago. Key West lobster from the warmer light blue waters can't compare.

Nothing I could buy in the Smoky mountains in Tennessee (as lovely as they may be) could ever compare to the sweet, succulent, juicy tender scallops we received from The Lobster Guy in Maine for our pleasure on Christmas. I'm so glad New Years and birthdays are on the way. We are getting more! This food merits a special occasion. (I used a little seasoned flour to coat the scallops before I tossed them in a buttery skillet for the briefest sizzle on each side. And that's all the effort that was needed for a phenomenal scallop dish. Highly !!! recommend.

First, I live in Florida, when delivered the ice packs were still solid frozen. . Everything was packed in a cooler and best of all, I could track the whole journey of my order. This is the first time I've severed ordered lobster online, I kept it all refrigerated for 3 days (in the bottom crisper). We just had this surf and turf for CHRISTMAS! I also ordered 3 different oysters, I opened the ones I could and ate raw mmmmm delicious. The oysters that I could not open, I put in the grill for about 5 minutes on a cookie sheet, they opened and we're delicious . The clam chowder as an appetizer was the best I've ever had! The filleti left out for hour before grilling, it was so tender. The Lobster tail, we cut the back open, pulled out meat and I brushed it worth melted butter and grilled it. That was the sweetest lobster I've ever tasted. This was FANTASTIC!! I will definitely order from lobsterguy.com again. Thank you !

We received our order 12/22 as promised. 8-10 oz, obviously a lie or packer Pat made an error. I put the pack of two on my kitchen scale, total weight just shy of 7 ounces and that was a little over 3oz each. I could have bought that size at the local market for under 10 bucks. Excellent customer service. Very accomodating when I had questions and added some items last minute to order. Arrived on time in excellent condition from RI to Texas. My kids loved it. Highly recommend especially with free shipping which usually runs 50+ dollars on other sites. You can also upgraded the size of the lobsters.

But.... yes there is a but,, we also got the lobster bisques... we love lobster bisques..... but after heating heating up the bisques, and giving it a try,,,,,, My wife didn�t care for the taste all that much. I had to agree with her, it had a fishing or sea food stock taste, I don�t know if it�s just a regional thing, but the good news is we would jus get the lobster / lobster meat.

It has been a very long time since I had snail salad in Rhode Island. Flavor was very nice and the snail were slice nice and thin. I just don't remember it ever being so chewy at all. I wouldn't order this again.

The clams had great flavor. All the clams were alive and opened upon steaming. Be sure to purge them first. I prefer smaller clams and most of these were bigger than little necks but I would still order again because they are definitely some of the freshest and tastiest clams around.

My wife and I are from about 60 miles south of greenbay wis. Back in the early to mid 80's we lived in portsmouth nh. for my work. We are now back in wi. and have not had cold water lobsta or steamer clams for 35 years. This is our 46th ann. and we wanted something to relive our time on the east coast. Don't often order lobster bisque because I cannot trust it will be prepared correctly. Just sayin' this bisque is the bomb! Do not pass this up on your order, I cannot wait to order some more.

Ordered this 2 pound, 1 pound each bag of lobster meat. The meat in each bag was beyond generous as I counted six tails in the first bag. Froze one of the bags for later use. From one bag we made two lobster rolls the first night and lobster risotto the next night. I carefully heated the lobster for the risotto in butter and garlic. Everything was beyond delicious. The Lobster Guy has two new, really full and content fans.

I ordered a variety of items in late July. The lobsters were shipped to Georgia and the temperature was in the high 90's on the date of delivery. I was worried because Fed Ex was running late. The package arrived around 4PM. Every lobster from 1 1/2 lbs to 4 1/2lbs were perfect. The service is outstanding too!

I ordered for six of us and wow what a feast. Didn't expect the amount of food you can get in one big pot, plus the six lobsters. My friends have three boys and they ate every bit there was no left overs. The lobsters and clams were great as well as everything else and following the cooking instructions everythng turned out fantistic. Plus it saved on using my other lobster cooking pots and clam steamer. (Less clean up as well). I will do this again sometime. I highly recommend The Lobster Guy plus they added a personal touch a hand written thank you for your order card and who packed it and the card on the captain came with it. Very nice personal touch.

Ordered two1 3/4 lbs lobster which were top quality. Also ordered two crabcakes which was a mistake. Crabcakes tasted like they had been made from 50 % Old Bay spices and 50 % something else which was difficult to say what. No lump crab meat , thus it was difficult to say if there was any crab meat in them at all.

Like many of you transplanted New Englanders, getting steamers at your local fish market is not always easy. Tried the Lobster Guy for the first time with a test shipment of steamers and smoked bluefish pate. I have to say the clams could not have been more securely packed and ice packs still frozen when they arrived. The Lobster Guy difference in packing showed in the results. Out of 4 pints of steamers we had only 1 cracked clam on arrival. I can not say that I have these great results with other companies. Thank you Tim !! We will be ordering again

I typically buy a six-pack twice a year and the lobsters are excellent and very much alive when they show up. Since we can't get live lobsters where I live, this is a wonderful way to enjoy them.

We had this wonderful lobster bake a day early with our kids. Superb quality, and just loved the way it was packaged for individual servings! The instructions were on point, once steam started, it only took an hour for four servings. Will definitely order from the lobster guy again. Yum!

With the onset of the Corona Virus I was unable to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday at a nice restaurant. Instead, the Lobsterguy delivered the feast to us. OK, so to be honest, I got this as a gift from a wonderful friend, but I am already looking for excuses to order this again. Labor Day? Birthday? Tuesday??? They are all perfect occasions for this dinner. Quantity- there is SO MUCH FOOD!!! I ran the numbers, and for the amount of people this feeds, it's actually not that bad. Impossible to get this quality and quantity for less than $100 per person, so the home delivered order is actually fairly reasonable. Quality- in a proud American, of Norwegian descent, and usually look at most seafood in the United States as pretty crappy. Without slathering sauce all over the fish, or rubbing all sorts of nonsense on it, most of the seafood I find here is not exceptional. This was totally different. The lobster was fantastic, the chowder was the best I've had, and the mussels were excellent. In my opinion, however, it was the clams that flattened me. I've never had clams that tasted like that. Sweet, enormous, I just can't find the words. Ease- I'm an idiot who struggles with ADD, and to prepare a dinner for a bunch of friends is impossible, but this kit not only made it possible, but I walked away looking like some kind of Ina Garten pro! I really can't recommend this highly enough. Amazing quantity, quality, and ease. This is really awesome.

According to my wife this was by far the best tasting juiciest, and most tender lobster she has every had. We will be cooking the other one tomorrow. I will definitely be ordering from the lobster guy again. Thank you very much

I spend every birthday in Vegas with my best friend whom shares the same date, thou this year( with the strange goings on) stopped our travel plans, but we spent a great weekend in rural Oregon with a six pack of live lobster delivered to the front door! We ordered a 6 and 4 pack of live lobsters for my son�s 5th birthday. The lobster was delivered 9:30 am. We followed the instructions on how to store them in our refrigerator. We cooked them at about 4:30 pm and the lobsters were so fresh and just absolutely delicious. Everyone raved about how good they were...and considering we�re all the way in Maryland...the time and price were great. Wanted to surprise my daughter on Mother's Day with a treat from the East Coast. She had to relocate to Indiana from Massachusetts due to her husband's job. Being related to lobster-men my whole life I can tell you Captain Tim delivers the highest quality fresh lobster every time. There is nothing as good as deep water Maine lobster. Often times when I get a delivery you can clearly see the blue in the lobster. Sweet as can be!

Instead of Stuffed Turkey, we had stuffed Lobsters from the Lobster Guy for Thanksgiving! We are big seafood lovers and have had seafood from all over the world! Making memories. A fun and wonderful family holiday Lobster Boil experience for my Alabamian family and friends. The overnight shipment was prompt. We received 12 Beautiful, Live, Active Whole, Maine Lobsters in a sealed ice chest. Each lobster weighed appropriately 1.75 lbs. One lobster this weight was plenty for one adult. Served with melted butter, three small red boiled potatoes and half of a corn on the cobb. Delicious!!

We have had 2 4+ LB lobsters delivered to our house in South Carolina for the last 3 years. They come promptly at 10:30 in the morning the day before Thanksgiving with no issues. I shouldn�t even have to say that these make for a way better meal than a turkey could ever dream of. Ordered, online, 5 days before I wanted them (they were for my hubby's bday) and was sent a detailed email confirming the purchase along with the expected delivery date. I did buy insurance, just in case there was a shipping problem because we live across the country. I purchased a total of 6 tails (did the buy 2 option in 3 different sizes of lobster tails) and 1/2 gallon (was that the size?) of lobster bisque. I also opted to track the delivery and received great updates when it was shipped and it even gave an estimated time of delivery (mine arrived 15 minutes before that scheduled time - that's great service!) I followed their detailed directions and put everything in the refrigerator to thaw. The next day the lobsters were defrosted yet still had a slight bit of ice but they were thawed and the bisque was defrosted. The tails were so sweet and delicious - my husband was so happy! There was plenty of bisque (actually more than enough for 2 nights, 3 people) and you must taste these lobsters to understand - we have not tasted sweeter lobster. SO good. I will definitely order through The Lobsterguy again.

We cooked it on the grill with italian dressing and lemon and it was to die for! Wow, soooooo much better than supermarket fish! Simply high quality fish! Our group put on a Lobster feed and we couldn�t believe these arrived the next day they were ordered. There were 16 of us and everyone of the lobsters were great.

Clams were fresh, arrived on time and out of 6 quart bags, every single one opened when steamed. I was just a tad shocked to see how large these "little" necks were. Only got 7 to 8 clams per quart. Clams are named according to their size. so not sure how they can be called little necks.

Tim, I just want to thank you...I ordered 2 lobsters from you for my dad in Oklahoma, delivered today...he moved there from Cape Cod 8 years ago and he misses fresh lobster more than anything else!!! He just called to tell me ..."best surprise ever, I"m so happy and I already ate them...sooo good"!!! Hey Captain! I ordered 4 1 1/2 pounders to be delivered to Savannah, GA, on Friday. They arrived one hour earlier than posted and my daughter-in-law, who is from Maine, said that they were so delicious. They ate two of them and saved the other two to make lobstah rolls! I just want to say that The Lobster Guy is the best! Ordered lobsters sent to Florida, and a snafu with Fedex had us worried the package wouldn't be delivered fresh. Fedex corrected their error and the lobsters were packaged so well for delivery that they arrive fresh, still chilled, and in very good condition! Special Kudos to the Lobster Guy for following up with Fedex to ensure that the package had been delivered properly, they saved the day!

We ordered a lobster clam bake for the 4th of July and it was fantastic. Everything was so fresh and so easy to prepare, it was a big hit with everyone. We will definitely be doing again.

We ordered 16 lobsters and 2 lbs of steamers for July 3rd. I just wanted you to know how absolutely wonderful everything was. The lobsters were so consistent and delicious and full of meat. The steamers were sweet and tender and so easy to clean. I�ve ordered from Maine overnight before but not from The Lobster Guy... you have a new customer!!! Thank you!!!

I do not usually like "stuffed" seafood. Most that I have tried have too much stuffing and some seasoning I don't like, so the seafood gets overwhelmed. Not these stuffed clams. These are SO good. Lots of clam and "just right" seasoning. I will order these again.

I wanted to say thank you so much for the beautiful, delicious and amazing 8lb lobster I received for a very special occasion! It was the highlight of my daughter's 18th Birthday, she had no idea ahead of time what I had been planning for her! As a truly blessed single mom of a wonderful teenager, I've been saving a few dollars from each paycheck (for the past two years) to make this happen. Seeing her wide eyed excitement when it arrived and we unpacked it was worth every dollar! Her smile from ear to ear, the mmmms as our house filled with the aroma of steamed lobster and then watching her enjoy such a fine meal we've not had before nor could have if it weren't for you having the most affordable live lobster we could find. We added this to our order this week to try it, it is something new he is offering. I was very pleased with it. Capt. Tim ( Yes, he really answered the phone!) suggested lemon and butter and Italian breadcrumbs in the oven for 20 min at 375 d. Fabulous Fish to say the least! We loved every bite!
